LEAP THE WALL

“Leap, My child....”

“But I can’t leap, Father! Just look at me: I am locked into my infirmity, tied to my circumstances, limited by a mortal body that’s handicapped and marred through life’s unfair happenstance. My world is too small, defined by four walls. I can’t even stand tall. I can’t walk at all so of course I can’t leap!

“My child, you are not outside My sovereign appointment and perfect plan. Your circumstances are not a chance event, neither accidental nor incidental but providential. Certainly not happenstance! No key has locked you in—I have set you free. You are not tied down, I loosed your bonds. You are not limited for I am extending your reach. You are not marred since I fashioned you according to My best plan for you.”

“Father, I am as if in prison by the walls that enclose me!”

“I orchestrate your life. Your walls do not restrict you for I built them Myself—not to imprison you but to keep you close to Me and transform you into My image. Walls cannot prevent My care or hinder My power. According to My plan you shall leap in My perfect time.”

“But I want to leap NOW—or at least walk!”

“Trust Me, child. I chose the best for you for the present—that you should walk with Me. My grace flows to you abundantly, supplying you sufficiently. So leap your walls one day at a time through special opportunities and endowments I have given you and gifts of My Spirit bestowed. I have chosen you to be My instrument of blessing to others and to Me right where you are and just as you are.”

“I just don't get it, Father. How can I leap without physical strength?”

“My child, you can leap each time you enter into My joy through intimate prayer, your heart with My heart, and as you learn the secret of thanksgiving and praise. Disability, frailty, infirmity, confinement, weakness, or adversity are not hindrances to My work in you and through you. None of these things can separate you from My love. They are your opportunities to lean hard on Me.

“So rise in your spirit. Take up your bed and walk. Leap over your walls at My bidding and in My strength to glorify Me by blessing your world and Mine!”

From THE RESOURCE BOOK

“Then the lame will leap like a deer....” Isaiah 35:6a
“And by my God I can leap over a wall....” Psalm 18:29b
“...and a certain man...lame from his mother’s womb...he raised
him up...and with a leap, he stood upright and began to walk
...walking and leaping and praising God.” Acts 3:2-8
“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors
 through him who loved us
For I am sure that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities,
nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height,
nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,
will be able to separate us from the love of God
in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39
